      Mersey Care Addictions Team will be attending the Life Rooms to provide informal advice, support, and referral for those who would like help with their drug and alcohol use and to improve their overall wellbeing.

      The Addictions Team are also able to refer to specialist and detox services as well as working closely with partner agencies.

    • United Utilities – Support with water bills at The Life Rooms Walton

      Event date: Tuesday 17 September 2024, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

      Event description

      The Life Rooms will offer a safe space for customers to talk confidentially with a representative from united utilities.

       

      United Utilities will be able to identify if a customer is eligible for, help with any of our affordability social tariffs, help with arrears and short term support. We can even book free water meter fit appointments and have conversations on water efficiency and how to reduce water usage to keep bills lower.

       

      In addition to supporting customers with water bills we will also be on hand to register customers who require extra support in the event of their water supply being interrupted.

       

      Our scheme is designed to support people living with additional needs. We believe we can all benefit from a bit of extra help at some stage in our lives.

       

      This could be due to multiple reasons, such as, age, disability, mental health, financial worries, language barriers or an event in our lives such as a birth of a child or divorce. Priority Services seeks to provide tailored extra help and support to the right customers at the right time.

    • CGL Substance Misuse Information Sessions - The Life Rooms Southport

      Event description

      Come and speak to a CGL Outreach Worker to find out more about support offered by substance misuse services in Southport and Formby. 

      We can provide advice, guidance and information on how you/someone you care about can access further help.

      CGL will be on site at The Life Rooms Southport to help adults and families who are struggling with drugs or alcohol.

      Our services are free and confidential. They’re open to anyone experiencing difficulties with drugs or alcohol.

      We can give you advice about reducing the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol and can answer any questions or worries you might have about things such as:

      • Prescription and over-the-counter medications
      • Alcohol
      • Drugs (including steroids)
      • How drugs or alcohol are affecting your mental health

      The Life Rooms will offer a safe space for customers to talk confidentially with a representative from united utilities.

       

      United Utilities will be able to identify if a customer is eligible for, help with any of our affordability social tariffs, help with arrears and short term support. We can even book free water meter fit appointments and have conversations on water efficiency and how to reduce water usage to keep bills lower.

       

      In addition to supporting customers with water bills we will also be on hand to register customers who require extra support in the event of their water supply being interrupted.

       

      Our scheme is designed to support people living with additional needs. We believe we can all benefit from a bit of extra help at some stage in our lives.

       

      This could be due to multiple reasons, such as, age, disability, mental health, financial worries, language barriers or an event in our lives such as a birth of a child or divorce. Priority Services seeks to provide tailored extra help and support to the right customers at the right time.

      The Life Rooms will offer a safe space for customers to talk confidentially with a representative from united utilities.

       

      United Utilities will be able to identify if a customer is eligible for, help with any of our affordability social tariffs, help with arrears and short term support. We can even book free water meter fit appointments and have conversations on water efficiency and how to reduce water usage to keep bills lower.

       

      In addition to supporting customers with water bills we will also be on hand to register customers who require extra support in the event of their water supply being interrupted.

       

      Our scheme is designed to support people living with additional needs. We believe we can all benefit from a bit of extra help at some stage in our lives.

       

      This could be due to multiple reasons, such as, age, disability, mental health, financial worries, language barriers or an event in our lives such as a birth of a child or divorce. Priority Services seeks to provide tailored extra help and support to the right customers at the right time.

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      With You drug and alcohol service will be attending the Life Rooms to provide informal advice and information to those who require support from their drug and alcohol use.

      We recognise that drug and alcohol can impact everyone and therefore we want to make ourselves as accessible as possible to reach those who need our help and support.

       

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      With You drug and alcohol service will be attending the Life Rooms to provide informal advice and information to those who require support from their drug and alcohol use.

      We recognise that drug and alcohol can impact everyone and therefore we want to make ourselves as accessible as possible to reach those who need our help and support.

       

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      Pension Credit and Attendance Allowance are benefits that could help boost income for people aged 65+, but many are missing out. Over £1.7 Billion of Pension Credit was estimated to go unclaimed in 2021 – 22.

      We’re working with Citizens Advice Liverpool (CAL) to help create tailored support and resources to improve the take-up and understanding of these benefits. We want to hear about:

      • Your experiences of claiming Pension Credit or Attendance Allowance
      • Challenges or barriers to claiming these
      • Reasons you or someone you know have not claimed these benefits

      We’re working with Citizens Advice Liverpool (CAL) to help create tailored support and resources to improve the take-up and understanding of these benefits. We want to hear about:

      The Service User Drop in is a monthly group for people with a Learning Disability from Liverpool. It is a stepping stone for people who are known to Liverpool Learning Disability Team who might like to get involved in community activities.

       

      We meet for 2 hours and talk about different things and do activities. It is a group for people to come to with their parents and carers if they want to. It is a good opportunity for parents and carers to meet each other and get involved in the activities as well.

       

      As well as craft activities and quizzes we ask people from local community services to come and tell us about their groups and activities around Liverpool. We also talk about issues relevant to People with a Learning Disability and share information to the group.

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      The Service User Drop in is a monthly group for people with a Learning Disability from Liverpool. It is a stepping stone for people who are known to Liverpool Learning Disability Team who might like to get involved in community activities.

       

      We meet for 2 hours and talk about different things and do activities. It is a group for people to come to with their parents and carers if they want to. It is a good opportunity for parents and carers to meet each other and get involved in the activities as well.

       

      As well as craft activities and quizzes we ask people from local community services to come and tell us about their groups and activities around Liverpool. We also talk about issues relevant to People with a Learning Disability and share information to the group.

      Event description

      With You drug and alcohol service will be attending the Life Rooms to provide informal advice and information to those who require support from their drug and alcohol use.

      We recognise that drug and alcohol can impact everyone and therefore we want to make ourselves as accessible as possible to reach those who need our help and support.

       

      We have teamed up with 'With You' , who will deliver a drop in advice and information clinic every fortnight on a Friday between 10am-12:30pm for those who require advice and information around drug and alcohol use including signposting and specialist referrals. In the afternoon we will be operating an appointment clinic to deliver one to one interventions to those in treatment and residing in the locality of The Life Rooms allowing us to bring the service to you and reduce the stigma associated with attending a ‘drug service’.

      All nicotine replacement products will be requested, by an advisor, via an E-voucher, this will be sent directly to their nominated Liverpool pharmacy.  Prescription based products; Zyban, can also be requested.

      Mersey Care Addictions Team will be attending The Life Rooms to provide informal advice, support, and referral for those who would like help with their drug and alcohol use and to improve their overall wellbeing.

      They are also able to refer to specialist and detox services as well as working closely with partner agencies such as We Are With You. They will be available for drop in advice and support on a Thursday 10:00 to 16:00. There is also the opportunity for some individualised one to one sessions to be arranged.
