The Life Rooms is celebrating it's eight birthday today, 9 May, by looking back at eight of our highlights from the last 12 months.
There were many highlights and achievements over the last year, but the support provided to our communities across all of The Life Rooms services demonstrates our passion and commitment to supporting local people to live the best way they can, and create sustainable habits that will have a positive effect on their health and wellbeing.
Our eighth birthday highlights:
- We had over 13,000 visits to The Life Rooms Warm Hubs in Walton, Bootle, and Southport between October 2023 to February 2024,
- We are the first NHS organisation to launch interoperability between clinical teams and social prescribers, meaning Mersey Care clinicans can refer their service users directly to us for support with their social needs like finances, social isolation, housing, and more,
- More than 16,000 referrals came in to our Community Inclusion Team to support under-represented people in our communities with GP registrations, school registrations, dental access, and more,
- We launched a groundbreaking Life Rooms offer within Mersey Care's high secure mental health services at Ashworth Hospital, supporting with recovery and rehabilitation,
- We delivered 1,957 sessions on our timetables - that's over 3,000 hours of learning and support,
- Over 700 contacts were made between Individual Placement Support (IPS) and employers since December 2023, finding new paid employment opportunities for our service users, and offering ongoing support to both employer and employee,
- 184 children and parents across 25 schools have taken part in our Healthy Knowsley 'Healthy Families' course,
- Our Digital Health Activation Team provided 70 people with digital access and training, providing them with digital devices and internet connectivity as part of a Digital Inclusion Initiative with Liverpool City Region and Lloyd's Banking Group.
