Creative Support for housing support needs, at The Life Rooms Walton

Event description
Support for adults over the age of 18, who are living in North Liverpool and at risk of becoming homeless or have housing support needs. The service covers the following postcodes: Part of L4 and L13, L9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 28. Creative Support can provide assistance with:
- Finding accommodation
- Help to sustain your accommodation
- Support that promotes your independence and wellbeing
- Making your home a comfortable, safe, and secure place to live
- Budgeting and debt management
- Filling in forms
- Accessing benefits
- Building confidence and working to improve mental and physical wellbeing
This is appointment based only - You can access this through attending our Pathways Advice Service drop-in's to book an appointment for further support around housing issues.

Citizens Advice group for age 65+ at The Life Rooms Walton

Your chance to shape support around Pension Credit and Attendance Allowance.
Pension Credit and Attendance Allowance are benefits that could help boost income for people aged 65+, but many are missing out. Over £1.7 Billion of Pension Credit was estimated to go unclaimed in 2021 – 22.
We’re working with Citizens Advice Liverpool (CAL) to help create tailored support and resources to improve the take-up and understanding of these benefits. We want to hear about:
- Your experiences of claiming Pension Credit or Attendance Allowance
- Challenges or barriers to claiming these
- Reasons you or someone you know have not claimed these benefits
Your feedback will help CAL provide the right information and support to those who could be missing out on benefits they are entitled to.
This session is for you if you are:
- Aged over 65
- Already receiving benefits OR
- In the process of or thinking about claiming benefits
- Unsure of what benefits you are entitled to
Free tea and coffee will be available during the session.

Energy Projects Plus Drop In Energy saving Advice at The Life Rooms Walton

Join Energy Projects Plus for their regular on site presence at The Life Rooms to provide help and advice with:
- Energy Efficiency Advice
- Fuel Bill help including bill enquiries
- Switching and tariff advice.
- Water bill help
- Benefit checks
- Income Maximization
- Fuel Debt Support
- Home Visits
If EPP are unable to support you, we can advise you where to go for help and support.
1-2pm is an Energy Advise and Top Tips session 2-4 pm is one to one drop-in advice and support appointments.

SmokeFree Sefton at The Life Rooms Bootle
Event date: Thursday 14 December 2023, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
Event description
Those with mental health conditions are more likely to smoke and will find it harder to achieve a full long term quit.
You will recieve:
- Support for 12 weeks
- A quit plan to match your needs (relapse prevention, dealing with cravings and the benefits of quitting smoking)
- Behavioural support
All nicotine replacement products will be requested, by an advisor, via an E-voucher, this will be sent directly to their nominated Liverpool pharmacy. Prescription based products; Zyban, can also be requested.

- Insulation and heating schemes
- Dealing with condensation damp
- Help to deal with fuel debt
- Extra help from your fuel suppliers and local authority …..and much more
