allotment.JPGAt The Life Rooms we're marking Volunteers Week 2023 by calling for new volunteers to help us deliver support services in improving health and wellbeing for Liverpool and Sefton residents.

Volunteering can have a positive impact on the mental and physical health of local residents, and outreach work to support vulnerable people in the community, which will be so important as our service continues to grow.

We're looking for volunteers to support with our allotment sessions in Southport, and to help us re-launch our library service in The Life Rooms Walton.

Our allotment sessions run twice a week in Southport, and we're looking for volunteers with experience of gardening or managing an allotment plot to support the group. The allotment group support with positive mental and physical health, teach new skills, and offer chances for increased social interactions.

Library.JPGOur library service was a real draw for people in Walton when The Life Rooms opened in 2016, and we need your support as a volunteer to help make this service a success, and introduce attendees to our free learning and support sessions that are available too.

We're also celebrating the amazing work and contribution that our current volunteers make in helping residents in our local communities to live happier and healthier lives. We welcome volunteers with lived experience who support our service users with empathy, and they make a positive impact every day.

Volunteering is a great chance to work as part of a welcoming team and give something back to local people in your area, as well as a wonderful development opportunity if you're wanting to move into further employment.
