Volunteering

Taking part at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust means getting involved and being a part of everything we do.

We have a long track record of involving the people who use our services, and their carers, in planning and delivering our services.

By taking part you can bring a whole new perspective to what we do. For example we invite service users and their carers to sit on interview panels to recruit new staff – their opinions are valuable to us. The people who use our services have lived experience of mental health, addictions and learning disability problems and act as role models for those who may be at the beginning of their journey of recovery.

We try to equip everyone who participates in Mersey Care with the experiences and skills that will help them along their chosen pathway; for example we offer relevant vocational qualifications and a volunteering short course qualification, as well as employability training and cultural and social opportunities.
