What is the Girls on the Autistic Spectrum course about?

In this session we will provide a brief history of the development of diagnosis of girls on the autistic spectrum. We will explain why and how autistic girls present differently to autistic boys.

Together we will discuss strategies to support girls on the autistic spectrum and you will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout.

After completing these sessions you will be able to:

  • Spot the difference between normal teenage behaviours and autistic behaviours
  • Find a special interest

  • Better manage meltdowns and shutdowns
  • Learn practical strategies – what works/what doesn’t
